Eco-Print Silk Scarf
This gorgeous golden and olive toned scarf shows an overlay of walnut, oak, maple, Staghorn Sumac and rose leaves. It's generous size, 22" x 90" allows it to be used as a wrap, a scarf, it could even decorate a wall. It is one of a kind and is the last large ecoprint I made last year. Eco-printing is the process of placing leaves directly onto the fabric which has been prepared (scoured and mordanted), bundling it up around a pipe and steaming it for up to two hours. The bundle cools overnight and when opened the leaves are removed. What remains on the scarf is a delicate imprint of natures beauty.
This item may be hand washed. I recommend Eucalan wash. It should be air dried. It may be pressed with the iron on silk setting.
